A women's hockey game between the United States and Germany was halted after American player Caroline Harvey dropped her smartphone on the ice mid-action. The two teams squared off in the IIHF Women's World Championships in Czechia. During a collision in the quarterfinal, the device fell out of someone's pocket, causing the official to pause the game. After the referee picked up the phone, it was handed to a German staffer who raised it toward their bench, hoping the owner would come forward.
