Woman arrested for terror threat after Latin restaurants vandalized with swastikas
A woman was arrested on charges of threatening terrorism in Iowa after allegedly vandalizing 10 properties, including two Latino-owned restaurants that were found covered in swastikas. Alisa Rilla Nicols Staats, 30, was taken into custody Tuesday morning and charged with 14 counts, including threat of terrorism and two counts of criminal mischief as a hate crime, the Muscatine Police Department said. The arrest comes after a series of swastikas was found scrawled on a door depicting the Puerto Rican flag at Jibaro Restaurant Sunday in the city on the Illinois border.
